In my twenties, I became interested in typography while working as a graphic designer’s assistant. Later, I took an adult education class about typography. As part of the history of typography, I learned about bookbinding and fell in love with it immediately.

After taking book art classes for several years, I realized I had been captivated by the beauty of paper itself.

Many years later, during the pandemic, I came across a paper flower. It reminded me how much I love working with paper. That experience inspired me to start creating my own paper flowers and jewelry using beautiful paper.
